What does the Embedded Media box do?

This box allows you to embed videos from...wherever!

As long as you have the embed code, you can add the video. :)

Find videos on:

Or add your own!
If you have videos/tutorials you've created, embed them!

You can't upload videos directly into Libguides.

You'll need to upload them to a streaming media server at your library/institution or a service like those mentioned above before embedding them.

How do I use it?

Copy the embed code from:

  • For videos: YouTube, Screencast, Vimeo,...wherever you found the video.
For example, in YouTube, the embed code is below the video (the Share button).
It may be in a different place on different sites.
  • For widgets: the vendor/website will usually provide the code you need. (Also check out our Creating Search Boxes guide and/or Library Catalog Searches guide. ;)
