Welcome from the Chief
Hello Springshare users -
Thanks for taking the time to check out Springy News! This is our 2nd newsletter, so we're making good progress. ;) Since last we spoke, we've spent a lot of time on:
-
Preparing for ALA.

Springshare booth at ALA
The Summer ALA conference in D.C. was another great success for us! A big thank you! goes out to all our clients who took the time to stop by our booth and say hello. Besides showing our latest features & products, we enjoy going to conferences and tradeshows because it gives us an opportunity to meet & greet with our clients. We are also making plans to have regular user group meetings at ALAs... you'll be hearing more about that in the months ahead. ;) - Working on important new updates for LibGuides & LibAnswers.
In total, we introduced over 20 important new features for LibGuides & LibAnswers, making them even more powerful platforms for sharing knowledge and information with your community. - Focusing on CampusGuides / CommunityGuides features.
In my humble opinion, the new features represent a game change for Campus/Community Guides.
- The addition of the Assessment / Survey Tool as a standard part of Campus/CommunityGuides makes it a must-have tool for any library doing assessments on services and/or information literacy programs. You can use it for anything from a quick survey of how things are going to in-depth assessment of a resource or service.
- We are also introducing an optional E-Reserves Module for CampusGuides, so your course reserve readings can now be fully integrated with your research guides. This provides one-stop access to all of the resources your students need for their classes: course guides & reserve materials. They can search the e-reserves area by course or instructor or get quick access via the E-Reserves tab in their course guide!
So, please check out the great stuff that Anna & Sarah put together for this newsletter. As always, we look forward to hearing from you about this and/or anything related to your experience with Springshare and our products.
Enjoy!
Slaven & the Springshare crew
