Welcome from the Chief

Dear Springy Fans,

I wanted to say a quick hello, before we converge to New Orleans for Lollapalooza Woodstock ...uhm...I mean the American Library Association annual conference. Please stop by our booth #801 to ask any questions, and to say hello to many of us Springys who will be at the conference.

As Springshare grows we feel there are more things we’d like to share with you - our clients - on a more frequent basis, so we are going to be preparing these newsletters on a monthly basis from now on – and even some “special” newsletters like this pre-ALA one.

One of our product goals is to make it easier for you to pull content from other sources and embed it into LibGuides, so we are starting to work with more and more publishers and other vendors to make it easier to embed their content into LibGuides. We featured ProQuest, our initial partner, in the previous newsletter and this time around we’re thrilled to feature the cool folks at Credo Reference. We are excited to work with Mike, Nancy, and the rest of the Credo team. We have some great plans for future integration and collaboration between our platforms.

They're baa-aack! ;)

Then there’s our S.E.I. (Simplify, Eliminate, Integrate) product initiative which is getting better with each passing day, and I think you will really, truly, find it to be a breath of fresh air. It will make the interaction with our products even more enjoyable. We put together some screenshot slides which show the new functionality, be sure to check out the S.E.I. tours.

So, enjoy reading this newsletter that Anna and her crew put together and, to those going to New Orleans for the ALA, please – please – do stop by our booth to say hello, and participate in our cool contest by picking one of the ribbons (pictured at right) and showing your Lib-pride by taking a pic of yourself & your fab new ribbon and posting it. Check out the ALA Fun! page for more details on the contest and prize!

Remember: Booth #801 – be there or be square. :)

Thanks for being on board, we appreciate it very much!

- Slaven & the Springy Team
