Customize Homepage Header

Want to hide something in the LibAnswers homepage header? No problem! Just remember the magic CSS equation:

 ElementName { display: none;}

Our first map shows the Element Names for each part of the homepage header

So let's say we wanted to hide some things. We can add the code below the Custom JS/CSS Code box on the Admin Stuff > Look & Feel > System-wide Settings page:

Click the links below to see custom CSS examples:

Hide the breadcrumbs

Change the color of the Ask Us button

Hide the useful tip

Remember, if you want to hide the Browse options (.stitlecontent) or the popular questions box (#featurebox) you can do this from the Admin Stuff > Look & Feel > Homepage Settings tab!

Customize Boxes on Homepage

LibAnswers' box design mimics the box design in LibGuides, making it easier for admins to customize them to match institutional design requirements. Almost every aspect of these boxes can be redefined/customized. The picture at left shows the individual elements of the content box.

Click the links below to see custom CSS examples:

Change the font & color of the box title

Change the background color of the box header

Change the color & thickness of the box border

Want to style the content of these boxes? Take a look at the System Boxes section of this guide!
