Why Widgets?

Why Should I Use Widgets?

  • Advertise/Promote your personal Librarian widgets (My Scheduler) in all of your virtual touch points:
    • Website
    • LibGuides, LibGuides CMS or LibAnswers site
    • Blog
    • Course Management System
    • etc...
  • Have your appointments dynamically update - without any additional work for you!
  • People can't register if they don't know about it!
  • Feed your appointments into your Outlook/iCal/Google Calendars or into any feed reader!
  • Cause the widgets are really really awesome, and trust us, you'll be embedding them EVERYWHERE you can!

How do you want your My Scheduler widget to display?

No Button - I will manually call lc_show_widget{USERID}();
Click To Schedule An Appointment

Customize:

  • Widget Title
  • Widget Color
  • Text inside the pop-up "Make an Appointment!"
  • Pop-up border color

Please Note:
To change the full array of colors and styles - you can replace the entire CSS stylesheet with the option:
lc_opt{USERID}.css = "http://www.example.com/new-CSS-File.css";

Where Do I Embed It?

Everywhere!!

 

Feed Your My Scheduler Appointments into Outlook/iCal/Google Calendars

  • This will allow you to VIEW your My Scheduler appointments in your other applications.
  • To add/edit/delete appointments-> must be done within your LibCal system.
