Publish Your Guide Print Page

Guide Status Options

  • Unpublished - default status
    • Invisible to the public.
    • Can only be accessed from the admin interface.
    • Not indexed for search.
  • Published
    • Available to everyone.
    • Displayed on the home page under "Most Recent".
    • Indexed for search. 
  • Private
    • Only accessible to people who know the URL.
    • Not visible on the homepage.
    • Not indexed for search.

Guide URL

Your guide & each page in it has a unique and permanent URL.

You can copy the guide URL from the address bar in your browser.

Friendly URL option

The Friendly URL is convenient because it assigns an easy to remember URL to your guide.

Note that the friendly URL is only available for your guide as a whole, not for individual pages.

Go to Guide Settings > Change Guide Information to assign a friendly URL for your guide.


Adding the Finishing Touches

A new guide's default status is "Unpublished".
You must publish the guide to make it visible to others.

Go to Guide Settings > Change Guide Information.

Basic Settings:
Includes editing guide title/description, changing publication status, and setting the Friendly URL.
Subject Associations:
Assign one or more subject categories to your guide.
Learn more about subject categories.
Advanced Settings:
Includes Redirect URL and Hidden statuses.
Assigned Tags:
Assign one or more tags to your guide.

Even after your Guide is published you can still edit it, make changes, add new content, etc. You do not need to unpublish the guide to do so.
