Search All Reference Transactions with The Analytics Knowledge Base Explorer

As you record individual reference transactions in the Analytics module and answer questions submitted thru LibAnswers, you are building a valuable knowledge base which contains the information about every single reference transaction at your library. Pretty awesome, huh? We thought so too. :)

We also thought it would be awesome to search all of that data, so we added the Knowledge Base Explorer to the Analytics module.

You can search the full knowledge base, or you can choose to search LibAnswers questions or Analytics questions individually.

Non-LibAnswers questions means those transactions recorded in the Analytics module, i.e. the Record Transactions screen.
LibAnswers questions refers to the questions submitted thru "ask us" forms or in staff mode in LibAnswers.

 

Search All Questions

If you are searching the full knowledge base (LibAnswers questions + non-LibAnswers questions) you can search by:

  • question keywords,
  • time period, and/or
  • the user who answered the question.

Search Non-LibAnswers questions

The Knowledge Base Explorer enables you to search non-LibAnswers questions by themselves.

Select / search / filter any combination of your metadata values.

Search LibAnswers Questions

You can also search just the LibAnswers questions in your system.

  • Search by keyword
  • Search/filter by the fields you defined in the Question Form Builder area (the extra questions you ask people to answer when submitting questions).
  • Filter by time period and/or the person who answered the question.
