Getting Widgets

Getting to LibAnalytics widgets

Extend the system's awesome power beyond logged in users filling out the forms!

Think about it: you can create surveys or forms (big or small) and link to them or embed them anywhere.

Note: Only Admin level users & Regular users who are given admin rights on a dataset can get to the widgets for any given dataset.

Common Options

All 3 widgets have a set of common options you can choose from:

FieldOptionsWhat's it all about?

Audience

General Public Choose this if non-account holders will be filling out the form. It hides the label/fields at the top as well as the date/time stamp, "entered by" field, and internal notes field.
Account Holders Choose this if account holders will be filling out the form. It displays all of the fields just as they'd appear on the Add Record page when logged into the system.

Layout

Original The layout matches the original layout as seen on the Add Record page.
One Column All fields display in one column (left, middle, then right column fields).

Exclude Fields

You can exclude any fields you'd like from displaying on the form in the widget. This is great when you want other folks to fill out most of the form, but not all of it. (See the Instruction Request Form on the Datasets 101 page, for example.)
