The Big Idea
Why should I include library resources in my school's learning management system (LMS)?
It's a great way to provide help at the point of need. At many schools, students visit the LMS website more than they visit any other website - even Facebook! Instead of forcing students to go the library's website, why not highlight your collections and resources where the students are?
Learning management systems can help you provide information at the exact point of need. For example, let's say an instructor has created an assignment that requires the students to find scholarly articles on a specific topic. Why not include a list of library databases with the assignment?
What kind of resources can I include in my school's LMS?
Most learning management systems have a lot of flexibility - you can include text, links, widgets, videos, RSS feeds, and more! This guide will focus on ways you can include resources from LibGuides, CampusGuides, and LibAnswers.
Ways To Share
Each learning management system works differently, but there are three basic methods that you can use to share information from LibGuides, CampusGuides, or LibAnswers.
We provide examples of different types of resources you can share with each method!
