Setting Up LibAnalytics
You, my friend, are amped.
You just got the "Welcome" email that brings you into the wonderful world of LibAnalytics.
Statistics. Everywhere. *swoon*
Okay, okay. The first thing we need to do is take a step back here and figure it out:
- How do you set this thing up, anyway?
- And now that we're here, what data do we want to track???
This guide will take you through the first question: step by step, we'll help you set your system up.
As for the second question...wellll, that's a little trickier. That's the kind of thing that changes library-by-library, so it's something you need to decide for yourselves.
We recommend you take a look at the Getting Started with LibAnalytics Instances guide. Then get together with your library-coworker-buddies to figure out:
- How many instances you want to create (based on the number you have in your subscription);
- The names, colors, and labels for each instance; (see Create Instances > Step 2 for options)
- The fields you want to track for each instance. (again, see Create Instances > Step 2 for options)
I'll just hang out over here till you've got that all set. I've got plenty of music, games, & books on my iPhone, so don't you worry about me. I'll be entertained. ;)
.....
All set? Sa-weet! :)
The orange Command Bar at the top of your screen is how you get around to the different pages in your system. We'll be focusing on the Admin Stuff in this guide. If you want to know about the other options, check out our Intro to LibAnalytics guide.
