What Is It?

This is for v1 only. This will not work in v2.

The v2 system has this built in automatically on the default homepage, because so many of you loved using this in your v1 sites! Just change your homepage to use the Subjects as the default display, and you're done!

Now, for v1...

There are lots of cool things you can do with the API utility - like creating a list of your subject categories & guides that updates automatically!

We're going to show you how to do just that: make an expandable/collapsible list of subjects that, when expanded, reveal the guides found in that subject category.

This list can be embedded anywhere - on your LibGuides or LibGuides CMS home page (shown below), on web pages, even in your course management system.

Please be aware: the list of subjects & guides will only update every 6 hours due to the fact that this menu uses the API utility.

The API cache updates at 6am, 12pm, 6pm, and 12am (CST).
